We were all depressed because we thought our little Cortunix eggs wouldn't hatch on day 17, so we decided to candle them one last time. We candled them, no luck, probably because of our horrible candler, but them a heard a soft 'ting ting' sound. My dad put the egg against his ear for a minute, then he put it against my ear and I heard chirping and pecking! I'm soooo ecstatic!
I want them to hatch already! I thought it would never work, but all of them are pecking against their shells!

They pipped! 2 out of 12 Cortunix quail eggs pipped! Our little #9 and #5 pipped (I labeled them) and 5 is shifting around her shell like crazy! She's also chirping nonstop, and I'm so happy!
Note: I'll post pictures once they hatch.
