I have a gold-laced Wyandotte cockerel who is approximately 12 weeks old atm. When he was about 4 weeks old, he started getting his male saddle and hackle feathers. This was BEFORE he got any of his regular feathering on his back. His entire back was a patch of pointy, irridescent, "rooster feathers". He looked like a little boy wearing his daddy's work boots around. I've raised hundreds of chicks at this point and to my recollection, I have never seen anything like this before. Anyone else? Thoughts?
