I did....It was a blast! I didn't win much in the show, but I only showed 2 birds and one in showmanship, not did we win anything in the raffles. But we [dad and I] had so much fun it didn't matter. Well, not sure if he enjoyed much but I thing he did because I did. I was so pleased with how well run it was! Everything was already set up and on time! Unlike the goat show I went to this spring, they started 2 hours late, you had to bring your own bedding or buy their expensive stuff, there was only a country store and no supply companies and no one selling things or goats, they would take hour long breaks and the whole small show lasted almost 12 hours. It stunk. But anywho the Ohio National was a ton of fun and I really advise anyone out there to go. We bought some birdies too. I bought [well actually ''The Bank of Dad'' did] a trio of black standard cochins, a pair of splash silkies, and a pair of [evil] partridge wyandotte bantams. I am most pleased with the cochins, it was $100 for the April hatch trio, but they are really nice. The roo is as docile as can be but HUGE! My sister [who is 22 by the way] is terrified of him. hehe Not an animal person. Now I have 71 chickens and 2 ducks. Still not sure why my parents think I have too many.
Thankfully they are buying me a 10' x 10' amish wood building and some kiepper cooping as I am beginning to run a little low on space and we need a place for my show birds that is warmer. I was surprised to not see Don Krahe there as he has been there all like 54 times, but the place was so packed I just might not have seen him. We [also meaning ''The Bank of Dad''] also bought a bunch supplies including a toe punch I hope to squeamishly start using soon.
Anyone else go?
