I did....It was a blast! I didn't win much in the show, but I only showed 2 birds and one in showmanship, not did we win anything in the raffles. But we [dad and I] had so much fun it didn't matter. Well, not sure if he enjoyed much but I thing he did because I did. I was so pleased with how well run it was! Everything was already set up and on time! Unlike the goat show I went to this spring, they started 2 hours late, you had to bring your own bedding or buy their expensive stuff, there was only a country store and no supply companies and no one selling things or goats, they would take hour long breaks and the whole small show lasted almost 12 hours. It stunk. But anywho the Ohio National was a ton of fun and I really advise anyone out there to go. We bought some birdies too. I bought [well actually ''The Bank of Dad'' did] a trio of black standard cochins, a pair of splash silkies, and a pair of [evil] partridge wyandotte bantams. I am most pleased with the cochins, it was $100 for the April hatch trio, but they are really nice. The roo is as docile as can be but HUGE! My sister [who is 22 by the way] is terrified of him. hehe Not an animal person. Now I have 71 chickens and 2 ducks. Still not sure why my parents think I have too many.

Thankfully they are buying me a 10' x 10' amish wood building and some kiepper cooping as I am beginning to run a little low on space and we need a place for my show birds that is warmer. I was surprised to not see Don Krahe there as he has been there all like 54 times, but the place was so packed I just might not have seen him. We [also meaning ''The Bank of Dad''] also bought a bunch supplies including a toe punch I hope to squeamishly start using soon. :pAnyone else go?

We went.
Really interesting.
Learning experience.
Didn't show anything, went to pick up a roo we bought. Ended up leaving with 6 birds (2 silkies and 4 D'uccles.) + eggs.
Would have bought more but don't have a "Bank of dad" only "bank of me"

Really puts a cramp on buying when its coming out of my pocket!
Hopefully we will be able to take something next year.
Take care!

Sorry, but I did not. He had about 10-15 standard cochins for sale though, at least.

I drove up Saturday and picked up 5 d'uccles from Jim Grober and got to visit with lots of experienced poultry people. Learned a bunch, and had a great time !

oh poo, you got the D'uccles my daughter wanted to get!

(We met you at the connersville show, Sierra, my daughter talked with you about your D'uccles.)

We just got there and looked at all the sale birds, she saw his and talked with him and held some of them, she was in looovvveee, (being the mean mom I am) I told her we would come back and get 1 or two after I picked up my silkie roo I bought. The lady was kind enough to bring him so he didn't have to be shipped.

So maybe we'll see some of those D'uccles at the show in December?

Next time I guess we'll just have to buy them. I bet she won't let me "come back later" next time

The Seramas were really a delight to look at some tiny darling birds.

I was there! It was a really fun time and a huge show! I won reserve champion with my Serama roo! I won two BV in calls in the less common varieties and placed 2nd and 3rd in a big class of Pastels and 3rd and 4th in Buffs!
Met a lot of nice people and learned a lot! Probably bought too much! I got three pairs of calls and two trios of D'Anvers!

I was there! I didn't show anything, but I bought a pair (well the only pair) of brown red Ameraucanas. I just love them!!! I plan on entering them in the show in Connersville IN in dec. I saw a pair of white Ameraucana banties that were gorgeouse too. I would of given anything to buy them!
