Hi guys!
I have a silver phoenix hen. I didn't do my homework befopre i got her, I didn't know she was a poor layer, I got her "cause she was purdy"
She's very different from my other hens, she's quite the flyer, I have to pick her out of my peach tree at dusk every night and put her in the coop.
I was suprised that when the others came into lay, she was pumping out an egg a day for about 2 weeks, she's now slowed down to one every 2-4 days, and they're small eggs so I don't sell them, I just double them up in recipes.
Anyhow, I haven't seen a single post on this site about her breed, and I was wondering if any of you have a phoenix, and if you would please share your experiences, photos, etc.
