Anyone else have a run that isn't flat?

I am moving my 5 chickens from their current coop and run which is about 3'x7' and only 4' high to a much larger run that is 7'x16' and 8' high. I was originally planning on using sand for my run, but the run is not completely flat, it's slightly sloped. Now I'm worried that all of the sand will just end up at the bottom of the run! Does anyone have a non-flat run and if so, what do you use on the ground?

I had the same problem building my coop and run. It was on a slope.


So I tilled the entire thing and raked it level. When it he coop was done, and the sand added, it all lays flat.
Note the level of the land and the level of the run.


No matter how steep your land, you can level it off with some work.

Wow...that's really impressive! I was hoping to not have to do that much work, but it looks here like it's worth it!

We are planning on moving ours onto o sloped area. I know sand will help with drainage but with NC clay under I am thinking the slope may be help with drainage too.
