Yep, mine do it to. Once momma figures out they have wing feathers and can fly she calls them to roost with her. This is very natural, wild turkeys coax their young into the trees as soon as possible. It's much safer off the ground.
It's fun to watch my best broody a regular barnyard variety banty lure them to roost on a cabinet top that is about 8 feet from the ground. Well at first the little chicks can't get quite that high. She tries with all kinds of clucking to get them up there but eventually she gets the message and then settles on one of the roost poles they can get to. But she tries every night until they are able.
I am sure you have seen many a post on here about chickens not roosting. If raised without a hen it takes longer for the instinct to kick in.
There is nothing more adorable then a momma on the roost with little ones tucked under wings.
