Anyone else like Gertrude McCluck?

Okay, call me childish if you'd like but I love Gertrude McCluck.
It's not just that its about a crime solving Buff Orpington--though it sure helps--its actually very well written and makes me have a big fat smile on my otherwise glum to neutral face whenever I read it.
Anyone else here a big fan?
I just ordered all the books for "the kids" and can't wait till they come.

I got those books a few years ago and they were a lot of fun. Very much in the same style as Hank the Cowdog, which is a series I highly recommend if you want a quick, fun read and don't mind being caught holding a kid's book.
