Anyone else think they might have a problem?

Currently:

- I'm gathering parts to build a large DIY incubator for outside.

- I'm selling 12 chickens today to get numbers down enough to fit the two coops and two brooders.

- I'm excitedly looking forward to expensive eggs in a couple months but wondering how I will schedule my home hatches around them.

"Everyone needs a hobby"
... just look how expensive it is to have hobbies like cars, boats, traveling, scuba diving, advanced children's athletics, etc. Really, we're saving money over those hobbies, and we can help provide sustenance in the process...
Exactly! At least they give you eggs! And I actually make good money selling ducklings ducks and eggs, if you just try not to think about the cost of the coop, feed, straw, or the birds themselves then it almost seems like you’re making money!

I'm probably saving money on therapy bills, but definitely not profiting at all . . . unless you count all the deserts I make at home since I need something to do with all the eggs 🤔
My ducks are the reason I need therapy! Jk, but I bake A LOT to use up all the eggs. I love making angel cakes because they require like a dozen egg whites. The yolks I just feed to the dogs.

This is a major profit! I've been slacking, but, when I'm making extra desserts and keep hard boiled eggs around the hubby is always a bit happier.

Happy hubby = happily unaware of the current flock size hubby

I never thought of making an angel food cake! This is a great idea. I like making homemade pudding, you can use a dozen yolks really easy that way, but all those egg whites

I don't have an angel food cake pan though, can you make it in a 9x13? :lau My grandma used to make them pretty frequently but she always did them very properly, she'd be abhorred if she heard me ask about a 9x13 :gig
