Anyone elses boys getting the itch?

My Bourbon boy has been yelping up a storm the past couple of weeks. The warmer weather we had a week or so ago must have gotten him confused. Still too young to gobble yet but cannot wait till he does. He is growing up into a good looking little guy.

Ours have been gobbling for a while now. We have Bourbons too! Having other males around keeps them on the go! I can open the outside door at night and call to them and they'll gobble back!

I let my two gobblers out today, right after they started eating, strutting and gobbling like crazy! I have never seen Toms face so colorful! If i only had a hen...lol

Oh yeah, definitely! One of my Midget White hens flew up and over, into the Bourbon Red pen today. Two of the BR toms decided this was their opportunity! Only problem was, one was mounting the poor hen.... backwards! Hope the poor guy figures it out by the time spring rolls around and I'm looking for fertile eggs in the BR pen!

Half of my herd of turks came from a breeder I found on a site called Local Harvest. I had hatched MW eggs I bought from a great seller on eBay, only problem was I only wound up with 3 MW poults and I wanted at least 6 - 8 to choose my own breeders from. I did a search on LH and found someone about an hour away willing to sell me poults about the same age as the ones I'd hatched. I think the website is localharvest.org. You can search by geographical area, and might find people who raise turkeys in your area.

I have one pair of Bourbon Reds but the Boy isnt interested in the hen! He Gobbles and Struts and dances for a soccer ball. He mounts it and everything. The hen just stands there watching him like "HEY" Over here. His latest thing to mount is a bowl.
Is that normal??? Is he mental? I always heard Turkeys were dumb but jeeesh!
