anyone else's eggs hatching 9th august??

I'm using a brinsea mini eco. Yeah at day 18 they were all pretty much full inside the egg and they were moving. I also candled last night , I know I'm not supposed to but I was so excited and none of the eggs had pipped so far.. But anyway one was moving just below the air cell so I'm hoping that when I go downstairs in a minute there may be a chick waiting for me??

I am still waiting - no signs of the little peepers yet (thought there may have been something by now)

Hi can anyone on here tell me if there is a way to tell if a fertilised duck egg is still alive please?

Congrats larkrise! I've had one hatch today

we've called it big foot because "she" seems to have the biggest feet ever! But it may just be us not used to it.. So tiny! And so adorable!

6 others have pipped and the other one has been peeping so they all seem okay so far

All 12 are hatched now. We had to help the last one a little. It was having the hardest time. 11 are in the brooder and the last one is drying off in the hatcher.
They are so cute!

I'll try to get pics by tomorrow.

Mandy, take a good flashlight and shine it up through the larger end of the egg. You should be able to see the duckling moving, or veining if you are due to have hatchlings. Also do a search for candeling. But if you have others in the bator, make sure none are pipped so you don't shrink wrap them.

My update is that Millie is sitting tight on her nest, she wouldn't get out for her usually morning escapade so I am thinking we might have some pips or close to it. Maybe in the morning there will be some fluffiness in the nest.
