Anyone ever hatch eggs after they've been refridgerated?

Okay, I know it is probably a stupid question and the answer is probably "no," But I had to ask. My aunt brought me over 6 eggs from her little chicken. She wants more chickens but wanted to have 6 eggs before she brought them over to put in the incubator. She said she keep them in the fridge until she got six. I told her I didn't know if they would hatch. She said she thought they would...so in the incubator they went. It is a lost case or is there a slight chance they might hatch?

I'll find out in about 6 days. Not only were my dozen eggs refrigerated but they were store bought fertile eggs from an organic grocery store. Crossing my fingers! The broody has been doing a super job, although one of the eggs has mysteriously disappeared. I'll post the results in a week or so.

When my chickens were killed by marauding, murderous, visious, evil, nasty, domesticated, roaming predators (neighbor dogs) last fall, I took a few eggs from my beloved deceased from the fridge. Yes, some hatched.

Wonderful News!! Then in 3 weeks I will be looking for some little chicks.

Thanks for all the replies
