Anyone ever hatch twin ducklings? Could use some tips

Not much since last night. Day 26 was at 11 pm lastnight so hopefully today we will see something. Theres an uploaded video was hoping to caputure another wiggle with the camera but no luck! Video only shows egg out of candler so just kind of a better view of egg size.

Still waiting. So my question is to those who have hatched before, how long does one wait on duck eggs to determine that they been in there long enough and are not going to hatch. Would 30 days be calling it safe. Considering typical is 28 days?

I have read that some mallard-derived-breed eggs can go to 32 days . . . I think it is less the number of days and more how things look.

And if it's twins, then that could lengthen the process, perhaps. That's a guess, but I'll put it out there for consideration.

30 does not seem unreasonable. Keep an eye out for both pips!

I assume one will try to come through the air cell, and hopefully, the get through to some air through both membranes with out causing any problems.

Most duck breeds are 28 days but bantams tend to hatch sooner, around 26 days. Higher temps are more damaging than lower temps (hens can only get so warm but incubators can have fatal tempetature spikes) so you do not want early hatches because that would indicate your temps are too high. I think 28 to 30 days is fine.

Getting bumbed, not a thing yet.Question though there is another egg in there a regular duck egg that is gettibg some dark spots on it does that mean its gone and I should remove it?

twins usually hatch MUCH earlier then normal, so if your on day 30 I would say they have passed. I would Love to see pics if you open them up.

Regular duck? Are the dark spots outside the shell or inside? Can you send a pic.

@ Lacrystol ..... I had no clue they were born early or I would have stopped turning before day 25. On day 25 when I took the video before lockdown there was still movement, after that is when we lost it somehow.. Here's the pics. Egg see almost perfect on the outside. If you look closely behind egg you , you can see some of the remains from duckling who do not end up growing. Duck was a Pekin/Swedish mix. Kills me that it was moving, but I'm wondering if its twin was blocking it from preventing it in getting out. If you look around the egg yolk and behind it you can see some remains of other one. I thought if anything it would be late, and by pics I am new but it didn't look fully ready yet. What do you think?

It looks like the second one was using the first ones yolk even though he had his own yolk, then it passed which only cause issues for the first one.. seems very watery, and the first one and maybe it's the pic, doesn't seem to have eyes? he has the sockets but I'm wondering if he actually had eyes? What was the temp and humidity at? how many times did they get turned, it's very difficult to hatch twins, your lucky you got that far honestly..
