Anyone ever have success at keeping a Cornish Cross as a "pet??"

Anyone here successfully have a happy Cornish Cross?? She's the sweetest pullet. First one to come say hi and doesn't like to be picked up but if I sit down she's the first to climb on my lap.

Hi Audra. I realize this is an old post but I’m curious to know if you still have the Cornish X hen.
I have one of these hens (she was given to me) and I’ve become so attached. She’s 7 months or so and has no health issues. I just give her a little less than 3/4 cup of layer pellets every day, split up into 2 or 3 feedings. She is at a point now where if I give her a little bit more than that she won’t even eat it. She’ll walk away from it because she’s either full or got distracted.
Also she runs and jumps throughout the day still but not nearly as much or as fast as she did when she was only a couple of months old. I’d say she’s about 8 or 9 pounds, and like yours, very sweet and personable.
