Anyone ever try to save a baby robin?

I rescued a bird once. Vet told me watered down puppy food. After a while though I had to go to the pet store for baby bird formula because the vet said the puppy food didn't have all the nutrients it needed. The poor things legs weren't strong enough to hold him up because pup food lacks much taurine. After the formula the little guy grew to eat me house and home in meal worms and crickets, until my failed attempt to reintroduce him into the wild when Oscar was attacked by the neighbors vicious golden retriever! But while I had him he sat on my shoulders and answered to his name better than I ever did.

Well the little birdie is doing GREAT!! I'm home all the time anyway and love to take on a good challenge. Have been researching on-line and so far so good!!! If I left him on the ground around here, he would've been dead in no time. The humane society around here is horrible. I think his best luck is that I found him before anything else did!! Day 3 and very vocal, active and hungry!
