Anyone experienced in dealing with weasels, have question

Caught two coons in my traps last night. Had been set for over a week. Without catching nothing.

What the post said was you take a glass jug, one with a narrow neck, mine originally had apple juice in it. You bury the jug so that only the opening is visible. Apparently they like tunnels and once inside can't get back out because the glass sides are to slippery.

I love the glass bottle trap! How creative! I had a mink take out one of my beautiful Americauna girls, right in front of my 4 year old son unfortunetly:( He came running inside hysterical telling us a chipmunk was trying to kill the chickens. We all ran outside too late as the mink was there with the chickens throat in her mouth. We chased her off and she encountered our cat on the way out who gave her a 20 minute beating and then let her go. I am concerned we have not seen the last of her. We just finished our coop which is tight as a drum. My husband is working on the run. Any advice on coop design and wire to improve our odds? With setting traps, do you ever worry that the trap may lure predators in? They may come in for sardines and decide fresh chicken is better?

I must admit that has been a concern. So far we have had no further sign of the weasel, I am soooo hoping the hubby got it after all.

I alway wonder about that, but I still try to catch them.

Like the old bug zapper, wonder if they didnt stop for a little human blood before going to the zapper.
