anyone from delaware?

retired- just moved here from Oklahoma. Joined local knitting group. Would like to find someone who raises chickens in Delaware.

Hi, I live in eastern MD, near Ocean City. Welcome to the Shore! Do you have chickens? DE has a good auction availability of birds, at fairs, etc.

There's a new yarn store in Berlin, MD. I've only been in a couple of times, but she has some neat yarn, (very expensive!). Berlin is a very cute town to meander through, on a warm day.

I am having trouble getting some chickens. we have built our chicken house but it seems we won't be able to get any until after February and that is through the mail. I would rather not do that- we had very bad experience with that in the past. We are thinking about the Delaware breed chicken because they are gentle and quiet. We only want a few as we are not suppose to have them. I bred teacup poodles and our housing inspector turned us in to zoning and planning for having more than 4 dogs . I had to sell 8 of my poodles and I'm still spitt'in mad about it. If we had known about all these restrictions we would not have moved here. Just got here a year ago , built my dream home and now I don't know if I want to stay. Oh bless pasty, listen to me fuss! Please email me sometime, my husband says ocean city is not that far away.
