Anyone from the UK?

We have only just joined the BYC club - after many fact finding missions in the past! We became the proud owners of 5 chickens, adopted from a farmyard, in September last year. We have since lost 2 of the ladies to old age, but have replaced them with young ex-battery hens, so we are still up to 5. We have a cross Silkie who was persistently broody, so we decided to make use of her and gave her 6 eggs to sit on. She did a great job and we now have 3 x 2 week old baby chicks.
Anyway, that's us and it would be great to hear from anyone from the UK? I have used BYC a lot in the past as there are so many questions which need answering - out of necessity or curiousity - but have only just joined.
