Anyone going to have eggs hatch in novemeber?

OK was doing lockdown last night. Realized this afternoon that duh. I forgot to put something over the wire mesh. So went ahead and candled everything and put a dishtowel down and put everything back together.

So what's left, 7 EE, I can see definite life in two, not sure about the others. 7 bantyX BO of mine; I think one might be a quiter, but not sure so left it in. 11 Marans; I can see air cells in most so hope that's a good sign but not much else. fingers crossed. Hatch on Thurs.

Power went out! In 20 minutes the temp dropped to mid 80's on eggs. I put them on my stomach under shirt and quilt;) temp back up to almost 100. I don't think any are going to hatch as it's day 25 but husband says wait til day 26the before giving up hope since the 1kids I murdered was developed around day 18/19.
Sorry men, but I heard a woman once hatched chicks in her bra when the power went off during the last 24 hours. Just saying.....

Sorry, I'm not great at taking pictures of eggs being candled. I believe i'm at day 9 right now :) just felt like candling them to see how everyone is doing. 2 more have rings in them, one has the ring in it but other veins, the blue eggs all seem to not be doing anything and one has a ring in it. I'm refusing to take them out. I want so badly for one of them to hatch.

I candled today - day 7 - and pulled out all eggs that were not showing signs of development.

Sadly, out of the 61 shipped eggs that I put into the incubator, only 22 remain! and 3 of those are probably no good. I cracked open all of the eggs that I removed and about 1/2 were scrambled.... no sign of life in any of them! I knew the post was rough on them when I first candled them before I put them into the incubator... but sheesh to have only 22 out of 61 eggs left at day 7 is pretty sad!

I initially set 15 of my own eggs, 14 of those are growing happily!

up date !!!

Oh yesterday I candled because I was impatient waiting for dinner to be done. Had to find something to do. figure I hadn't checked the eggs in a few days.
Usually I would go without candling unless my nieces are here. If they were here we'd candle one egg every day to show them how they develop in the egg. I love letting them see the merical of life in a responsible way. Instead of breeding a dog and making unwanted puppies, or a cat creating unwanted kittens I hatch eggs to show them how things are "born" LOL Other then that if i had cows still i'd let them see a calf being born. but i'd rather them see a "food" source being born and how things work that way instead of creating more pets for the shelters to deal with.
