I hope so. I have a part pilgrim goose that seems to be breathing with her mouth open a lot today. It is really hot here but the other geese aren't doing that. I don't want her to get sick or if something is starting I want to catch it quick. She is about 1 year old.

I would just keep a close eye on her for now. Make sure she has lots of cool water to bathe in.

TarHeelBlue- I have several different breeds of duck. 3 of which are Pekins (larger breed). 1 Pekin gets hot long before any of the others do. He is also my largest duck. I am not sure if this your case- but unless he begins presenting other symptoms it's hard to call it. Fresh cool water easily accessible and keep your eye on her.
