Thanks!!!! He is So LOUD! My DH calls him " Mouth!" I think he's lonely, I thought there would be other's hatching right after him, like popcorn popping, but I don't even see any pips on the other's yet. Guess he was just in a hurry.
Well I have a concern.....my first one pipped between 3:30 to 5:30am this morning and totally hatched within 8 hours. This little one is loud and is staying up against the side of the incubator going around. The inside of the egg still has blood streaks inside the membrane and a couple of blood spots inside. I also see what looks like a poop stuck to the bottom of the chick, I want to give him some time to dry off and settle down before I start looking at his bottom.
Any reason for concern?
The other 3 eggs are doing nothing....no peeping, no rocking, but then this little one hatched is one day early
I have a question for the experienced hatchers. My chickies seem to have trouble getting around. They are not standing up and walking around they just kinda flop around. Is this normal the day they hatch? Will it get better? Are their toes supposed to be curled, is that from being in the egg? Sorry, this is my first time and I am just a little worried I am going to do something wrong. I have paper towles down right now in the bottom of a sterelite tote. Should I have something else? Sorry for all the questions.
