Here's the "love shack"! I am going the paint a plaque to hang on the front with its name on it

Here it is from the back. My DH made the nestboxes open from the back!!

I plan on fencing off a smaller area so I can rotate days out for the breeders, so they aren't in the cages all day.

the joy of living in the city suburbs... BUT I am soooo happy with my flock...

Bikerchic...love the 'Love shack'...how long do you keep your chickens in there? is there just a hen and a roo in each one?

I will probably put 1 or 2 hens in, and a roo. Then take him out after he does the deed. I doubt that they will all be full, unless there is a broody. It is the perfect size for a broody and chicks. I don't like for them to be in confined spaces, that's why I plan on fencing off a smaller area to keep the breeders separate. My roos are so territoral now that they all sleep in different coops and they all know who belongs in which one.

My DH is just the sweetest ! Made me 3 ~ 4'x4' brooders & room for 2 more

! They can be whole/divided in half or by 4
Only cost 35 bones too!
a little paint or not

He thought of everything & made it better than I asked

(The four "nubs" sticking up is for mounting clamp heat lamps)
