Still nothing from my marans! I checked last night and could see 2 possibly internally pipped?? I have showgirls going into lockdown today. I guess I will just add them tonight and hope for the best with the marans. If nothing happens in a few days its investigation time . . .

On a lighter note, I get to set my lovely NEW marans and ameraucanas tonight. They are some gorgeous eggs!! Yiippeeeeeee!!

Going to pick up my new/old bator next Saturday. I can't wait!! Time to move furniture around without DH getting suspious!

I set my Nellie eggs on Sunday and they already look like they have started

Sorry to hear this. Any movement from them now?

I am disgusted. I am on day 25. I think the heating element is bad in my incubator. I have been having temperature changes thru the whole process. I had it consistent at 99.5 all night and most of the day. I left the house for 6 hours and came home to a temp of 105. They were still moving some this morning, but haven't seen any movement since I've been home. What are my chances of having any live?

believe it or not, I did have some movement late last night. I guess they haven't all died. Day 26 here we go.

I can see where some of them have chipped away the inside of the shell. Is that internal pipping?

If they are still moving and you are on day 25 have you checked for internal pips?

internal piping is when they have poked threw the air cell which if they are chiping the egg it probley has internaly piped if i was u i would poke a little hole in the air cell side of the egg so the chick can get air cause if its day 26 they prob dont have much air left in the eggs but lets wait and see what the experts say

I had to do this for one of mine once, part of the shell had come off but the little guy couldn't break through the membrane and I was scared it couldn't get air so I just poked a small hole for him and he was hatched a couple hours later and fine.
