Well, the second batch of eggs are in lockdown and due to hatch this weekend. I'm excited all over again, this is the BEST way to spend a weekend. I took more photos of the seven fluffballs that hatched last weekend, wanna see?

Mine current two figured it out at 18 weeks.

I can never get my chicks to pose for pics like that, lol

They always end up blurry because they wanna run around,

So today is the big day, set day for the Easter hatch, I am setting 48 this time, wellsummers, RIR's and silkies!

for a good hatch rate!!! Anyone else joining???

Can anyone tell me how old your cockerel has to be before he will start breeding?

Mine usually figure it out a little after they start crowing which is around 6-7 months.

Silkymom, I put the chicks in a little light tent to take those photos. They only put up with it for a little while, but they stand still at first I think because they are just confused enough that they can't choose which way to run, lol. So if I act fast, I can get a good photo.
