Anyone Hatching on the 27th or 28th? - I Need Hatching Buddies!!

This is how it was explained to me:
If you set them after noon (12:00pm) then you don't count that day, you start counting the next day as day 1. If you set them before noon, then that is day 1. Does that make sense? So, then they would be due on Thursday, May 28th. WooHoo! How EGG-citing!

That's very helpful - thank you!

Did your temps run a little high? Has your duck made any progress?

Nope, they were spot on and I have a two therms with one being medically calibrated! He hasn't made much progress, a few pips around the main pip so hopefully he will hatch healthy and compltely absorbed!

ETA: Meet Quackers, he is early but healthy!!!

Congrats on the baby. it's always eggciting. I have to pull mine out when they start to get active becuase I have quail eggs in there too that will hatch around the same time. Don't want any sqished babies.

Are those EE eggs from your girls or did you buy them? I'm hoping to be able to get EE's from a couple diferent sources to avoid breeding to relatives. My next hatch won't be until mid June becaue I have multiple hatch dates in one bater at the moment and would love to avoid doing this next time. I went kinda egg crazy. I'm trying to plan for the next time.

Oh! I love the little duck!!

I am still trying to get DH used to chickens. We don't have a pond. My neighbors have wild ducks in their pond and grandson and I watch them.

Congratulations on the little quacker.
