I have a buff with 10 -12 eggs under her. Some are hers and some are my magpie's and cayuga's . They are due around the 18th

at least I think so... I have been getting swirly eggs and plain eggs out of my pen with a magpie, cayuga, and black swed.

My magpie is setting on 16 - 18 eggs and she should be due the 24th or so. Il not sure the exact date she went broody.

Anyone else hatching around the same time?

If anyone is interested im going to have to find homes for most of these little cuties

Yep, we have some in our homemade bator; they are all at different ages, but here are the dates that they are planned to hatch:

7/12, 7/13, 7/16, 7/18, 7/20, 7/21, and 7/22.

In the bator we have 4 blue Amer. eggs from our black Amer. pullet, Raven. And then we have a mix of mostly Buff Orp/Splash Cochin, possibly a few Buff Orp/RIR, and Red Star/RIR. Some are showing signs of fertility, although most may not be fertile.
Good luck everyone!

We are due on the 16th

This is my first flock - I started with 2-3 dozen eggs in my incubator - candled them on day 4 & couldn't tell anything - so waited another day and I think I made the right choice (didn't know about this forum until today)

Is there suppose to be an air pocket in a fertile agg?
