fingers crossed!!! hope some will hatch ,
should be hatching by sunday (I HOPE)

Am I the only one that keeps staring into their incubator, waiting to see something!!! I can never hear mine chirp until they pip externally. I always try to hear them, but never do. But boy do they make a lot of noise once they get out. Our first hatch, the chick came out in the middle of the night. Woke me right out of my sleep, lol.

My chicks started hatching today. We have 7 chicks and 8 pips in the shell as of last count. If any more talk in the shells I'll never hear them.

which incubatore you used last weekend ? JW
yeah i cant wait for sunday!!
like can it hurry up please lol..
thanks for your answers.
I used the incubator that I built to hatch these little guys out! I'm using my Little Giant this weekend. I have a trade off between incubators. The one I built has perfect humidity but the temperature can swing around a bit. The LG has beautiful, steady temperature, but its hard to get the humidity up high enough during lockdown. I did learn something interesting after my first hatch in the LG though. When I wash out the bottom and set it up to start again, while the inside bottom of the styrofoam was wet, the humidity stayed pretty high. Instead of adding sponges this time, I'm going to mist the inside of the incubator. I'm thinking I'll use a piece of foil to cover the eggs and mist the inside of to get the sides and bottom wet and when it evaporates the humidity will go up to near 80%! That LG has a tiny water tray!! I did candle the eggs this morning and set them in lockdown and they look great! I even had a couple of eggs chirp at me which was cool! Maybe I'll get an early hatcher this weekend!
