Anyone have a "chickencam"?

that is set up just to output an analog signal. will not work with computers without a lot o d/a conversion work. if you want to enable it over an internet connection it would be best to stick with something designed for that type of work.

Michael, I'm catching up with you! I ended up borrowing a Panasonic camera from a friend who had never got around to setting up. Everything is now working locally. So much fun to watch! I am wasting a lot of time. The camera model is BL-C131A - we love it (although we have nothing else to compare it with). You can control image quality and move the camera angle from your computer. I'm watching my red star lay as I'm typing!!

My problem is that the coop seems to be right a the edge of our wireless signal, so we keep losing the feed. Also camstreams proved tricky - maybe because I'm using a Mac.

I'm not computer savvy enough to figure this all out quickly, but I'll share when I do.

(And I have to figure out a way to keep the camera!!!

Scooter, did you set the camera up in the coop or in their run? That's so cool to be able to view them. Did you find any cam you liked when you shopped around? I'm also afraid that our wireless will not reach to the coop. I also have a mac that I'm not use to using. My dell died, so I've been lucky enough to use this old work one of my DH's. Sorry for all the questions, but I've been wanted to set one up for a long time now. Nobody could help me when I went on a quest to find one this past summer. Thanks!

Oh yea! I agree with Michael about the poo to keep it.
