anyone have a faverolles x isa brown?

my faverolles rooster made this with the neighbour's isa brown hen and i'm impatient to see what she'll look like! has anyone crossed faverolles with isa browns or similar?

That chick looks duckwing rather than wheaten based so I'm doubtful that the ISA brown was the mother. Does your neighbor have other hens that lay eggs with a similar shade?

it has to be one of these two, which my neighbour calls isa browns. it did occur to me they aren't as hefty as your standard isa brown, which is why i threw ''or similar'' in there haha.

they also have silkies, but the egg she hatched from was brown.

how do you tell whether they're wheaten or duckwing based at that age?

The duckwing based chicks have chipmunk stripes. Wheaten are mostly yellow eith maybe a few irregular stripes.

Hmm, maybe the "silver" side of a red sexlink is Duckwing based. I have said it is possible for white Leghorns to be silver duckwing based. They always say they use a "Rhode Island White" in the cross, but whatever that bird is, even Rhode Island Whites aren't related to the Wheaten based "Rhode Island Reds" they use in the cross so...
Maybe ISA browns are split for Wheaten and Duckwing.

i noticed her stripes are a different color from usual. i thought that might be the influence of the rooster. so you're saying i should put silver duckwing x salmon into the chicken calculator to get an idea of what she might look like?

Salmon are wheaten based and duckwingxwheaten will give those weak stripes like that.

ISAs have many genes and they aren't just that, but it does appear that the gene that was passed on was probably just the duckwing, to be honest. Which I had no idea they even had. But they would have mahogany and gold, not silver.
I don't see the Columbian or the dominant white.
