Anyone have a NICE Polish rooster? Personality info needed!

I have one two month old polish bantam too, that I have raised with my other three chickens. He is one of my nicest chickens of the flock!! He does get a little bit nervous if you try to pick him up, but thats to be understood since they are a more skittish breed, but other than that little struggle, he is one big sweetie! You can pick him up and walk around with him all day if you wanted to. He has even fallen asleep on my lap before. Unfortunately though, I cant have a rooster where I live, so I need to re-home him, which I'm terribly sad about. But any who, as long as you keep working with him, and holding him alot, that should help. What I also did was take him somewhere where he couldn't see the other chickens, and then put him on my lap and feed him mealworms and oatmeal and tons of goodies, so he would get rewarded for being held/handled. All in all, polish roo's can be really friendly, but there are also sometimes when they just dont want to be friendly. It really depends on the bird. My friend has a astrolorp (sorry dont know how to spell lol) and they all get great reviews on how nice they are and how sweet, but for some reason, no matter how much my friend held her chicken, she would always get attacked by her. Now they just have an agreement not to touch/bother each other haha. Good luck with your Roo!!

My 11 year old son loves his Polish rooster and puts him on his shoulder and carries him around the house like a puppy... never a problem.
