Anyone have a pic of a Rhode Island Red Hen?

This is mine in the process of laying her first egg. Since then she has given us one a day for 5 straight days.

I am sorry I don't have a picture. Mine is 22 weeks old and she just started laying about 2 wks ago. Her comb was much larger and redder than your picture. She never squatted and still does not very often. We laugh and say "Big Red squats for no one" My EE squatted about 4 days b/f the first egg. Hope that helps

I would think a few more weeks on your gal. She's oh so close though. Could surprise ya and turn redder in the face, and comb in a few days.

Ya know though, for some reason I was thinking the RIRs were a darker red in color than the photos posted here. Now I"m thinking what I thought were NHR in my flock, might have a RIR or two in there. What's the most significant difference between the two?

Here is a picture of our RIR just a week before she started laying. She is the dark red hen on the roost.
