I had one blue silkie hatch from SassySilkie's eggs.

I'm glad I put some of our farm's eggs in at the same time, so I'm glad *she* has friends to play with.

She cost me a pretty penny ($35), but to me she's worth it.

Yes, I had a single silkie hatch once, only paid $22 for the eggs though. Sadly at the time I didn't have any Friends for it, and TSC was sold out, so I ended up giving it away to someone who had chicks around the same age, LOL a $22 gift to a stranger, but at least the baby has some friends now!

Right now I have 31 gorgeous babies that I hatched from shipped eggs so yes, it can be done.

Good luck with your next hatch!!

Edited for spelling. I make lots of errors since I broke my wrist.

This was my first time with shipped eggs so getting one to hatch out of seven was great!

Sort of. I had 2 porcelain D'uccles hatch and had to cull one due to a severe crooked neck and it was suffering. :S Luckily I had a few other chicks around its age to put it in with. My only silkie expired last night.

He was the only silkie to hatch out of 4 silkie eggs. Not sure what happened to it. It was fine when I went to bed and then when I got up in the morning he was just gone. The porcelain D'uccle had to get moved in with the dark brahmas.
