anyone have any expericence with this incubator???

Hi, I just happen to see this while I was posting about a hatcher.

Here is my take. If your order is not complete, this is what I would do. I would not buy the set up that you linked. You do not need the "excess stuff". I would personally spend the money and get the TX-7. The one you linked is a TX-6 for a classroom. The TX-6 is a carded thermometer and the TX-7 is a much more accurate thermometer. The TX-7 is much more sensitive when you adjust the temps. Works much better in my opinion. Also, the auto turner for the classroom is different than the one on the Lyon's website. It is a much cheaper unit. The one on the website turns it EVERY hour and the Classroom one has a different motor and it takes 2 hours to do the motions.

I own 6 TX models. YES! 6 It is not a typo. 4 TX-7's and 2 older model TX-6's. I also have a RX. I personally think they are GREAT incubators. They are made to last. My older TX-6's were made in the late 70's early 80's and they still work. I have never had a problem with the incubators but I have encountered trouble w/ the auto turner. Another reason I am trying to steer you away from the "cheap" model. Another good thing is that parts are readily available from Lyon's and they have GREAT Customer Service.

I have never owned nor used a Brinsea so I cannot compare but I have owned a GQF foam model and it is like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Smart Car. There is no comparing in my mind.

Good Luck with whatever you choose.

Nancy
