Anyone have any super-duper rabbit keeping info?

Congratulations. We have a Holland Lop and I just love him. Great personality and quite a character. He uses his litter box but I can't take credit for training as he came that way....rescue bunny from the SPCA. I do the same as jerseygirl...change litter daily and replace now and then as their urine crusts even thought I rinse it out frequently. I am on the lookout for a stainless steel corner littler pan but no luck sofar. If anyone has found one please let me know.
I do not put litter in his cage aside from the litter tray. Have a pile of pieces of old towel that we lay on the bottom of his cage and wash/replace as needed usually once a week needed or not. I use shavings for litter.
I provide hay and feed 2 tbsp. of pellets a day with fresh fruit and veggies (but not iceburg lettuce) as a treat. Favorites for our bunny are banana and brocolli....I find the banana also helps with the blockages...with bunnies comes lots of hair! Toys as previously mentioned keep them busy and, as also mentioned below, the little chewmonsters need to be kept away from cords.
The backyardherds.com site is awesome. I learned so much there. Lots of different opinions as with everything but by learning from others you can make the choices that work best for your bunny.
Good luck with your 4H project!
