Anyone have bramahs

We used to have some, but apparently they were the coyotes favorite and I cannot for the life of me remember what happened to the last gal we had.

They're okay meat birds, but it takes forever to get them up to their adult weight

Once Brahmas are fully-grown, which can take a rooster two years, they're fairly hefty. The retired hens from my in-town flock made a very nice pot of chicken and dumplings.

But they're nothing like you'd get from an 8-week Cornish X for a lot less feed. :)

I love Brahmas, my stately yard-dinosaurs, but they're not the most practical breed from either an egg-laying or a meat production standpoint.
