anyone have cats?

No cats here! The only cats I see around here are strays that people dump out in the country. They usually make themselves scarce and every once in a while a female will take refuge under our tool shed and have a litter. They don't bother the chickens much, so I don't really mind them.

Love the pics. I have Pierre who is 16 and probably going to be his last year with us. He eats like a horse but is so thin and bony. He is wormed and taken good care of, so think its just age getting to him. He is not in any pain, but have to be careful picking him up around his belly. . .lost Buddy my favorite cat in the whole wide world in Feb. He was the funniest cat I ever had, and I miss him to this day. I was in the family room with him one day, and something fell somewhere in the house making a noise. He and I both looked at each other and I said, "what was that , Buddy?" and I swear that he meowed back to me that sounded EXACTLY like "I don't know." I smile everytime I think of that. He was 15 when he died, he and Pierre weren't related, but they grew up together and were best buds.

I don't have pics of our cats on this computer, but we have two - KiKi is a siamese and Kitty is a tuxedo.

Kitty I brought home as a three week old feral orphan back in 2006. Supposed to be our barn cat, she became a full time housecat when I started free ranging my chickens. She is fully capable of killing an adult chicken and tries every time she gets the chance. She also kills full grown rabbits, squirrels, snakes and once dragged home a rat that was so big the back half of it's body was dragging the ground behind Kitty's back legs. Kitty only weighs about three pounds. Kitty once got locked in an outbuilding for 11 days. We thought she had run away. She was perfectly fine when we finally found her, no weight loss or anything. The huge rat that had lived in that building for years no longer existed however.

KiKi the siamese became available for adoption at our local animal shelter the same day we lost our Charlie Girl (my dog) to cancer. I had been looking for a siamese for four years, ever since I lost my other one Bekka.

Both cats pretty much stay out of sight now that we have DSD and the GS living with us. KiKi does show up once a night for her loving routine - first she loves on me, then jumps to my DH's lap to love, then she jumps down and loves on both german shepherds individually.
