Candled 20 eggs and 18 moving. One not developed and one died at about 12 days old. I really hope they hatch on Saturday or Sunday AM while my Grandkids are here visiting.

Mine are going on lockdown at 6pm today!! thell be hatching around the same time as urs!!! Good luck!!! take and share pics when they hatch!!!

I noticed a lot of you have A LOT of babies on the way..What do you do with all of them? Is it "wrong" or frowned upon by others to hatch just to sell? Like overpopulation? Or do the same rules that apply to puppies and kitties not the same with ducks? I would love to keep hatching baby ducks and selling as much as I could. I love the process and they are so adorable, but wouldn't want to if it wasn't "right"...

This is a bit off subject but where did you get the Delaware eggs? I have Delaware hens, no rooster and I can't seem to find anymore Delaware birds

U can hatch and sell them. u dnt need a license like puppies and kittens. its differnt for chicks. I dnt frown upon it. Sometimes thats what people do for a living. They dnt own a hatchery but sell chicks at auctions or flea markets. Im ganna sell some of my chicks when they hatch, i have homes for all the girls and and a few boys. The rest are being sold at a farm festivle in a few months. Some people will raise and eat there birds, sell them, keep them, or give them away. And u can keep selling and breeding ducks. Y would it be wrong. People sell eggs...Chicks are better in a way cuz u get it already hatched. some people dnt have bators.

I plan on selling some of the chicks that I'm going to hatch but also keep some and raise some to eat. I do it to help support the cost of keeping them fed and happy
