I'm on day 21, Hatch day and i've been waiting all day and still nothing. i have 9 eggs and i just sit there stareing athem. its egg tv! I do hope everything is okay.

You take them off the turner, remove turner,raise humidity to 60-65%. To add water most people use a straw or something that fits in the vent holes.

I know what you mean!! My last hatch I must have gone to the bator at least every half hour to see if they were hatching but they all died. I hope your hatch is much MUCH better than mine was!!

sorry yours died, this is my second batch. first time i had 10 eggs and only got 4 chicks then one died and the other three are now 5 wks. I put 10 in this tim and i only had one dud. candeled the other 9 night before last and all looked good. its just the waiting i cant stand.

I just candled my eggs and it looks as though the yolk is just in there. I candled my eggs that hadnt been sat on and they kinda look the same. Does this mean that there are no babies?

day 9 for my18 barn yard mix, day one for 14 leghorn eggs purchased off of e-bay

okay another story about why I purchased leghorns

, I have a lifelong friend whose wife refuses to eat brown eggs, they are not the same and taste bad according to her, years now I have just rolled my eyes and let them buy store eggs, started hearing good things about the hatch rate of some of the e-bay eggs, put in a minimum bid and won the bid
Anyway call my friend and tell him, his wife is just elated, can't wait for farm fresh "white" eggs,
it is just too funny, they will roam the same field and eat the same feed, taste exactly the same, but will be "better" eggs

getting excited here, my candler won't be here till this coming Monday, have never candled before and only 3rd time for hatching

also have 25 red comet pullets coming tomorrow in the mail from Welps, have had great luck buying from them

I got chicken fever, I guess it's a good thing most places are selling baby chicks to hold me over til mine hatch. I went and bought six mix bantams... I only wanted a couple but it was a min. of six so I have my 4 two week olds and six two day olds and 22 in the incubator. My hubby is gonna kill me lol.. I am on day 10 so 8 more days til lock down and then mine are due to hatch on the 12th of March. I think next I am gonna find some mini horses I will turn this place into a mini farm one day. I already have plans to turn our 1400 square foot shop into a barn. My hubby wasnt too happy with that idea but I need more room for my animals. (not like he works on cars or anything) So why not put it to good use. My oldest will be able to 4h next year so why not have a mixed varity to be able to show right.

But alot of my eggs have a yolk shadow.
