EWWWW!!!!!!! I checked my eggs yesterday and one smelled really nasty, I took it out made my hubby smell it and sure enough it was a bad egg. I took it outside to throw out and it burst in my hand(talk about a nasty smelly gooey mess). It was one of my Americauna eggs too now I just have one left. Other than that one incident all the remaining 21 eggs are doing great. Plus the ten babies I have!!!! I have a question though, if someone could answer... I set my eggs on the 20th of Feb. do I start my count from the day I set them? The way I figured mine should hatch on March 12th.

Most say if you set them early in the day count that day, if you set them late, the next day is day 1. So what time did you set them ?

I would go 4:30 - 4:30 next day as day 1 , so 4:30 starts your eggs "next" day.

Thank you!!! It is the first time for me using an incubator and I usually call my sis who has a lot of various chickies from silkies to barnyard mix and has hatched all of hers and bought many off this site. Lol now she got me addicted and we have already spent over 900.00 on a coop we are building. wow expensive but worth it when u get to see all the chickens running around.
