That Chick Kibble i got works great. No pasty butts, even from the hatchery chicks. And All the chicks are Hyper and healthy as can be. i have Sav-a -chick in the water and the Chick Kibble mixed with the medicated chick starter.

Maybe we'll try it. What do you use as a brooder, it looks so neat.

Its a Plastic Storage box without the lid. i Put a heat pad under the shredded paper and hung a heat lamp above it. I used a mouse water bottle on each side and a turkey feeder i got given from a turkey farmer when he tore his barns down. Its in my Garage By the back door. The storage Bin them nice and warm and protected from the cold. It has high sides on it so they cant jump out.

I thought it might be a storage container. I just got a Brinsea Ecoglow I'm using for the last few chicks, and the ones hatching soon. The heating pad is a good idea.

Ive always used a heating pad, this is the first time ive used the heat lamp. Lol. I like the pad cuz it keeps them warm from the bottom and the lamp cus it keeps them warm from the top. they have a spot in the container to get out of the heat when they want to. I like using it

Congrats!! What was your hatch rate?

Can't wait for my hatch day! I'm so EGG-cited! I'm on Day 9 as of tonight and everthing is going well. Humidity is around 33% and temp is holding at 99.5 - 99.7. I have 42 eggs set...here they are

Here's the fuzzy butts from Friday and Saturday hatch. They all ran from the camera.

Three out of six. One never pipped, two hatched but didn't make it .

Has anyone done an "eggtopsy" on a egg they thought wasn't alive but it actually was? I haven't yet, and I hope I never do!

What would you do if that happened?
