I was given a mixed flock of sex link hens right after Christmas. I have one hen that I have to watch carefully when I open the coop door, because she is right there and has run out a couple of times. This morning I got up and there she was, outside looking in. I found a small hole in the run area, so I think that's how she got out. She's easy to catch. All I have to do is feed the others walk up to her while she's trying to get back in and pick her up. I don't see where's she getting picked on, so I just call her "hendini". Anyone else have escape artist chickens?

Not at the moment, but I used to have a black hybrid layer called Inky who would manage to fly up into a tiny gap in the wooden bars of the run fence, squeeze through and then fly down. She did that for months and was the only one who could ever do it. She was quite an intelligent chicken.
