Anyone have experience dealing with Marek's?

That looks a lot like early stage of Marek's. Has his voice changed?

Skin color looks OK. Tips of comb look bluish. The allowing head to droop means he is very weak. Shanks are above feet are thin which is an indication of dehydration.

What does his feces look like? Can he thermoregulate properly or is he getting cold?

I would not rule out a bad case of worms at this point.

So he must not be drinking good? I've never wormed him .He just gets DE in his food. His feces looks normal no change in it, not runny and it's brown like or greenish with white

Yes his crow sounds bad. Oh god this is scaring me

Was the DE application something that is done typically? It would not stop worms.

Many conditions can impact either water intake or retention. My birds when wormy tend to drink more than birds not having worm issues.

Why did you ask about his crow? It's been worring me because I couldn't figure out why his crow sounds so bad. What should I do? He takes the de in his feed.

I am looking for a pupil shape that differs markedly from the typical round. It would be related to poor vision. One of the first signs I have seen is impacted birds drift away from flock (when free-range) and have trouble finding roost, sometimes even finding building.

Wow this is terrible. So you have dealt with Marek's with your own flock? I'll get a picture of his eyes tomorrow, hopefully he is still alive.

Try not to get worked up. Your pet bird needs your focus regardless of outcome. I would isolate him and care for balance of flock as usual. My outbreaks used only involved a very small percentage of the birds, even when they were in close contact with sick birds.

In my experience, Marek's does not kill that quickly, but complications can be involved. I have a couple threads from a few years back dealing with what showed clinical signs of Marek's.

I'm the worse person to not get worked up, I don't take animal sickness or death well at all. I probably shouldn't own animals it's that bad. Did your sick chickens die? Does it happen fast or will be be like this for a while? I'll do whatever I can for him. He hates people he always spurs me, but seems to trust me just bullies me . I wish he wasn't difficult to handle
