Anyone have experience with tail feather sexing australorps?

I have some ~2 week old australorps and I've noticed a pretty big difference in their tail feathers. Four of them have long, pronounced tail feathers; three have short tail feathers; and 2 have no tail feathers (my biggest chick and smallest chick, actually). I read pullets grow tail feathers earlier but it can also depend on the breed, so I'm curious what everyone's experiences are with tail feather sexing australorps.
