Anyone have experience with Wheaton Marans as DP?

We are thinking of hatching Wheaton Marans in the new year...give something new a try...
Has anyone had experience with them from a meat perspective?

I do not have Wheatons, but I do have other Marans. The meat is very tastey and the roosters dress out very nice at 6 months for us.

. We usually process our other DP birds at 18 -20 weeks. Do you recommend waiting until 6 months for the Marans?
Will make a difference for us when we hatch. We processed birds late last summer...and hit wasp season....never again!

Took us twice as long as usual because we were constantly swatting wasps away.
