Hello, I’m new here. My son and I have been raising meat chicken. This year culling the large amount of yellow fat and veining through out. No smell and the meat looks normal as well as the skin. Google said high corn or grass diet. I purchase expensive feed 19% , I believe my son might be using that food for his layers and giving my meat chickens scratch and grass they graze . Has this happened before to anyone? Last yr they were perfect. Thanks.

I love the yellow fat. I save it and render it. Now if they were full of fat and didn't gain weight well, I would have a problem, but just the presence of fat alone is generally just the sign of a meat bird that was fed well.
