Anyone have info about saxony ducks?

Hey that's great! I have two pairs that I hatched out this year and they are GETTING HUGE!

I guess I am not used to full sized ducks because I always had calls, mandarins, or runners - so my jar kinda dropped last night when I saw how filled out they are getting.

They are nice ducks though, quiet (compared to calls), and friendly (compared to runners and mandarins).

I like them!

Well I got a trio, its an older drake, an older hen, and a pullet. The older hen still hasnt molted yet, the drake is in eclipse plumage and is HUGE, the pullet looks great. I wanted them all, they said the others will be eaten which was a bummer so if anyone in the area wants some let me know, I can give you their number. I will get lots of pics tomorrow.

It was hilarious this morning. I had the pool filling up and I had them in a temp. night pen and as soon as I opened the gate they headed straight for the pool, made me laugh. Then they went around the edge of the backyard, I think they were trying to find a way out. Then I went to their little pen and found a HUGE duck egg. It seems like the pullet is the dominant one so far. I am working on taking pics right now.

Ahh! I can't wait to see them. That is funny that they are already trying to make a break for it. LOL, I think mine are always plotting something too.
