Anyone have pictures of an Embden and Buff cross or an Embden and Toulouse cross?

As some of you know I had my sweet Embden female Snow die recently. I have a friend locally who has offered me a female for my poor gander. She has Buff and Toulouse females either of which I can have. My gander, River is an Embden and I will be trying to find another Embden but might not be able to. So anyone have any pictures of the possible crosses? I haven't had the time to search it but would either type result in a sex-linked color? Still trying to figure out what to do here. My guess is I will not find an Embden female for him.

you will get the following possible looks from a production grey toulouse x embden: white, grey, grey & white splash
Thanks. I was searching all this last night and am still a bit uncertain on some of it. As I have a Embden gander would the male hatchlings be the grey or grey and white splash and the females be white? Or does the Toulouse carry a white gene causing both genders to have the potential for all white? I am understanding that either the Buff or the Toulouse with my gander would cause a sex-link color if I have this straight. I am still trying to get my head around all these genetics.

Tivona, I have an Embden gander and tried for years to find a Embden goose to go with him finally gave up, until last Aug. a friend told me she knew someone with a couple of Toulouse geese and I was welcome to buy one, well i jumped at the chance, now they are a pair and if they ever have goslings they will be adorable, will I be able to tell goose from gander at hatch? I have no idea [if you find that out please be sure to share] but I can tell you it has been the best thing that has happened to my gander who has been raised with ducks. To see these 2 together is just too sweet for words almost. I really think you would be pleased with the personality of the Toulouse, but I have also heard wonderful things about the Buff also. Just wanted to tell you my story. All the best to you as you make the choice for him.

Hi Tivona...I have a Toulouse gander and I just got an Embden goose this past fall (his original mate had died before I got them). I'm hoping to have babies some time late spring/early summer, so if I get any, I'll send some pics your way.

Still am looking for an Embden female but I am thinking of going with the Toulouse for him. I would still love photos or confirmation of them being sex linked but just getting him a new mate is more important. I have been pouring over the genetics info on all this and I think I have it straight but if anyone can tell me for sure on this it would be great. I did finally find a few pictures on the internet of what should be Embden x Toulouse. Looked very pretty. I really love the splash. Promptly lost the page that had it and now can't find the link again.

Just hoping he takes to any new girl I can get. And I hope I can get a girl...never tried sexing an adult goose before. I think I can manage it thought. Truth be told I wasn't great at sexing the babies. Sigh...

I'd have some help. one to hold the other to do the sexing. Hows your guy doing? and I bet he will be thrilled to have some goose company.

He is doing pretty good all things considered. Still no loud honking. Just quiet sounds. Not eating too much but not starving himself either. Still looks sad but I find him following the ducks at times and some of the ducks really like him so that helps. Kinda scary when the ducks start laying out flat in the pond for him but he mated with them last year off and on, so they know what they are getting into when they flirt with him. Still trying to find out more on getting an Embden for him but if nothing shows up I will be trying to go get a girl Toulouse for him. Probably later this week or early next as its looking. Not sure why but I really like the Toulouse better then the Buffs in appearance. Love the pics. Thanks!

I know this is an old post but I have some brand new Toulouse Embden gosslings. Here are some pictures . I will follow up as they grow.
