Anyone Have Porter Black Mottled?

One of the poults I bought a few months ago is looking like a Porter black mottled, also is a jake. I wonder if the mottling increases as they age or not? He's mostly black now and is a little sweetheart with big dreamy black eyes.

Yep have one Jake hatched mid April that is getting more mottling all the time. Bery pretty boy.

I have some, but mine are just little guys still....hatched late July/early August.

Yes we have our own line of them and they get more white every year fotr the first 3-4 years or so after their moult. First year they will look like a BS that has white in them and then after moult the next year will look more like a mottled black.

Ah, sounds interesting! Harp, what did you use for varieties to produce your line?
