anyone have this hovabator genesis issue?

I have a fairly new - several month old - 4 or 5 hatches - hovabator genesis with egg turner and such. When i open it to say take the egg turner out or just to candle some eggs for a quick second sometimes the temp wants to spike up on me after reinstalling the lid. I have to watch it closely. It was getting up to 102 when i noticed it. Popped the lid up to let out some heat. Did this 3 or 4 times before it settled down. This has happened before. Just how it is? or not?

I dont know this for a fact, but it would seem to me that opening the lid, allowing the cool air in would kick start the heater and closing the top would make it heat up a little quicker before the thermostat would kick in and shut it off. Next time it happens why not wait and see waht it does. I would imagine it wouldnt get much higher than that before going back down again. Probably would be a minute or two at most.
