I'm interested in finding out if anyone in the tristate area (michigan, ohio, indiana... even Illinois realistically) has white peafowl that they will be breeding and selling eggs from this year. I was hoping to be able to drive out and pick up (rather than have shipped) a couple of eggs to hatch. Anywhere within 6 hours of Belleville, MI would work.

Aside from my truly awful luck with shipping the past two years, I'd like to be able to document the drive, the pick up, the hatching, etc for these eggs/birds, into a kind of storybook type record. If anyone here might fit the bill, could you drop me a line here or PM me to work out details?

(I'd also be looking for opal or purple eggs or chicks, shipped or picked up, but the white ones are for a different, more important to me project so I would want to come pick up white eggs in person)

Hey stranger

Hi Ked- Birdman 55 has several white birds, I'm not sure of their ages though. You may want to pm him. Nice guy- but he lives close to Mio.
Art Gunnel, in Clio MI. also has white birds, but I don't know if he sells eggs. He does sell chicks: Arthur & Gloria Gunnels, 13422 McCumsey Rd., Clio, MI 48420, 810-686-4576 [email protected]

I know, I know... I've only been poking my head in here every once in a while. Who knew owning a house and having a full time job and paying attention to that one boy actually would take time and stuff.... I'm not ready to be an adult! I just want to play with birds and snakes and eat oreos forever

Trefoil, thanks for the info, I'll pop an e-mail over to Art and Gloria if they don't show up here at all, since we head up near Clio for bird swaps anyway. Birdman and I have been talking a little, but I don't think his whites are old enough to lay, and his other birds that might produce white are split charcoal, which I want to avoid charcoal genes 100% if I can.
