I have 6 almost 2 week old banty chicks and 1 of them keeps getting poop all over his butt. It is getting harder to clean it up and I feel so bad that I'm hurting it when I do clean it. I'm afraid of pulling out it feathers. Anyone else dealing with this or has dealt with this and has advice?

Dont worry. Ive had this happen before, and in my experience, it all works out. I have 9 very healthy, strong hens and they were all very messy! Just gently clean it with baby shampoo and warm water. Be sure to dry it very well, too.

My 6 y/o grand son just came in " Nana, Nana one of the chicks has a crusty butt" It was just a little poopie so I gently washed it off and put her back. The the GS said "I guess that's why your the Nana You've washed a lot of crusty butts in your day."
